I have the setting: Permit rules take priority over deny rules (split deny)

Still many of the ip-ranges from the master exclusions list have the status deny.

To be able to download drivers from Nvidia, I have to manually create exclusion rules even if they are in the master exclusion list...

So, the questions is... Why doesn't permit rules take priority over deny rules when I have that setting???

Hi KalleAnka123,

I may have seen this problem as well. As I recall, I added the contents of the downloaded http___www.bluetack.co.uk_config_exclusions.txt (in the BLM's cache, usually C:\Program Files\Bluetack\Blocklist Manager\Cache, to my own Exclusions list "Exclusions.txt" in C:\Program Files\Bluetack\Blocklist Manager. The "Master Exclusions List" doesn't change very often, I don't think. In addition, Bluetack has several entries in the "Master Exclusions List" that I don't want personally. If it actually merged into the resultant list I'd have to add all those things I don't want to exclude into my "Inclusions.txt" to make sure they were blocked, and I don't do that (although maybe I should?).

So add the contents of Bluetack's "Master Exclusions List" to your own "Exclusions.txt" and then edit out what you don't want. The BLM will sort the file when you open and save it (I think).

File -> Exclusions Manager

I'm not sure, but this may be by design.

Hope this helps.

Hi KalleAnka123m smile.gif

If your BLM settings are correct then permit over deny should be working.

- 1 : Permit rules take priority over deny rules (split deny)

- 2 : "Import - only import deny ranges" is unticked , in the BLM general options.

If you have personal exclusions to add , make sure bypass personal exclusions is unticked and enable personal sources for exclusions list is ticked.

Those settings should be all you need to make your exclusions work.

Hi CelticFerret and Moore!

After trying many things I ended up going through the different exclusions from the list, and adding those to my personal list of exlusions that I needed. So I did like you said CelticFerret.

Moore, I have those settings. I think there's a bug in the BLM program version 2.6.5.

Have a great year 2006!
