I use the BISS Hosts Manager and when I try to save the new hosts file to my current host file I get an error saying "Cannot create host file "C:\Windows\system32\drives\etc\hosts." Access is denied.

It's not read only.

If the problem persists, uninstall from Add / Remove and download the HostsManager again. For about 30 minutes the wrong version (contained a small bug) was uploaded at the time.

I solved that problem by booting into safe mode and editing it that way.

Cool. smile.gif

If you use Zonealarm, you might wanna check out the link I gave you again. It seems that it is locking the HOSTS file and that will give the same error.
