If anyone has a problem downloading these let us know.

what happened to the coral cache thing?
i can get all lists apart from level1 with moblock

when will things be back to normal?
Moore
The Coral Cache is being upgraded or repaired I think... Our list servers are still operating as usual though.

These lists are just for anyone who can't get ahold of them any other way.

Thank you very much for your help. I am uncertain on what I should do after I manually downloaded the safepeer list. I end up with a zip archive which, after decompressing gives me a file called splist.txt

What am I to do next? How can I get safepeer to get the lists from this file rather than trying to download them from peerguardian etc? any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks again!
Moore
With the splist.txt, put it in the folder listed below, then to load the local file into Safepeer, replace the download url with the local file path of that list on your pc.

file:///c:/Program Files/Azureus/plugins/safepeer/safepeer.txt

More info on Safepeer here:
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=9526

The lists above can't be downloaded directly with safepeer etc, only manually.

Is the problem now fixed? If so, which url should we use to update to the latest lists? Thanks again!

You can either use the BLM to download the lists normally or from the download section or you can use these backup links if either of those don't work.

Even though you will probably find direct links posted on other sites, that's out of our control..We prefer not to give out direct links as they can and do change at anytime, and then people wonder why they don't work. It's best to always use the bluetack/config directory links first..

Download: level1_12.04.07.gz
the new lists for Level1 give an internal server error, the preconverted lists still seem to work tho

btw does BLM get level1 off the bluetack server?
Moore
/ edit looks like these list above are working again

BLM gets level 1 list from one of the bluetack servers. The direct links may change for each list but if you use the http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/ page links they will redirect you to the current server.

Well Level 1 doesnt want to update in PG anymore, but I've just found out about the backup list - theres no mention of it on the PG forums.

Is it only affecting certain users then?

Thank you, Moore, for the Blockpost lists!

the trouble with level1 located at coblitz.codeen.org seems to be that this server doesent like giving away timestamps or something. the moblock script for linux uses wget to download the lists, with the -N added, this checks for timestamp and only downloads if newer (wget -N http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz)
without the -N (wget http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz) it downloads just fine, but it downloads even if the file on server hasnt been updated

I hope you can continue this method, as it works very well for a user like me. I always use various proxies (more for the encryption, rather than to change my ip), and sometimes direct connections other than http port 80 don't always work. Also, I don't want to run updates with an IP that someone else may have used recently and inadvertently get banned. I would also imagine this helps to relieve some stress on the servers that normally host the lists. Anyway, thanks for uploading the lists to easy-share. I hope it works out for everyone!

Hey,

the backup download lists/links have just been updated.

As for the thing if we will continue this:

As long as it is used, the lists that are actually dl from there, will be updated. Not as often as the normal lists, but frequently. So, that folks who have problems getting the lists through normal methods, have the ability to actually get a list. smile.gif

And yes, everything away from the servers is good. heh

Yes. Please keep updating the lists, we are greatful. I very much prefer to download the lists like that rather than relying on the automated version!

Thank you for the backup list of links to the blocklist files. What's up, though with the w13.easy-share page? They make it pretty hard to get the files. They offered to make it easier if i uploaded some files, so I registered and uploaded some files, and nothing. When I follow a link above, I have to wait ~90 seconds at easy-share before I can enter the security string. Then, I have to enter a second security string to get the file. Does anybody know the real way to make the downloads easier? I registered at their site, and uploaded files, but it's still a hassle.

Thanks,
Spatty
Hagenvontron
Hey,

since these backup downloads are used less and less from week to week, I won't upload the lists as "*.gz" anymore - starting next week.

Why? Because the gzip versions of the lists are just not dl that much and everybody who uses those links should be able to unzip a *.zip.

The emule filters and safepeer lists will still be ul in the formats they are always in. In case sb was wondering heh

What's up, though with the w13.easy-share page?

There was no 99 second wait when I first started using easy share for these files. I guess as they get more traffic they decided to try and annoy people with these wait times.

I never noticed a second security code though. Usually you only get another code if you leave the page open for too long and it resets the code, so then you have to enter in a new one..

Still it's nowhere near as bad as rapidshare. I chose easy share because they dont try to scam you like rapidshare does.

Keep up the good work mate. What you do is highly appreciated. THANKS!

I'm experiencing some troubles when I try to download the badhash, fake file senders etc...

I receive regurarly both 403 and 404 error msgs; so, I've quoted them..

EDIT: The backup link at http://w13.easy-share.com/1222654.html provide only a corrupt file..
Hagenvontron
Hey,

that link gave me no corrupt file.

The backup links have just been updated though - but it seems that easy share had a few problems the last couple of days, and earliert his morning when I wanted to ul the files it was not available at all....

As for that templist.txt link - we don't offer *.txt dl's anymore, so that link was just forgotten about and never changed. I just changed it.

Hagenvontron; Thanks for the info. I'd had trouble over the weekend getting the level1.gz list but the level1.zip list worked fine. Will change all *.gz to *.zip in my sources.txt file. Is everything OK? The last update of files is from last week. Are you still doing the backup lists? Please do not stop uloading them. It is so much easier like that! Please!
Hagenvontron
Hey,

just to clarify this:

I update those links when I have the time. When I don't have the time they will be done when I have the time. it's that simple.

Same goes for the safepeer ipfilters and the emule ipfilters. Done when the time is there.

So, once again:

These links are backup downloads, intentionally for the ones who were having troubles getting any lists. The links will be updated frequently - that does not mean thats every week on monday. And not as often as the regular lists are updated (last week ~5 times, normally ~3 times).

And atm we are updating our filters much more frequently than other filter makers (esp. emule filters).

HvT

PS: I knew it yesterday when I decided to do this today that somebody will ask for it.... sad.gif

Hi,

have prob downloading the list...
Sean
Hope this isn't the wrong place. I can't be the only person asking this question either, still here goes.

I got the latest Azureus, and I noticed this "IP filter file to autoload" addition to the IPFilters option. I've been using the safepeer plugin until now.

a) Should I ditch the safepeer plugin and use this autoload option pointing to a bluetack.co.uk URL
b) If so which URL should I use
Sean
FWIW http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip seems to work a treat and my Azureus startup time is way faster (probably not bashing the bluetack server as hard also). Killed the safepeer plugin, alas poor yorick.

Hagenvontron
Hey,

you can find the actual splist and the other filters in the first post of this topic, and as well in the torrent we provide.

Those filters are only updated once a week, so there is no need to dl it daily or every time Azureus or any other p2p application starts.

And on a side note, bc that damn smiley of yours really made me angry:

if you folks would really care about what we do here, we would not have any bandwidth problems, and we would not be forced to host things using Coral Cache (which has a limit on some nodes per hour, on some on a daily basis, depends on the node), or the need to restrict the amount one IP can dl our lists etcpp.

I don't like the fact, that we need to do that, but we have no other choice - we are talking Terabytes on bandwidth on all lists together and not a few gigabytes a month...

and we offer alternatives, but if you folks are not able to use those, well then its your fault and not ours.

Hagenvontron
Hey,

nope, they won't be updated this week. As I posted in the first post, I am looking into alternatives atm.

You can use the torrent instead for the time being. Read the PS though in case you are not able to download it.

The links will be updated regularly, so check here first if you have trouble downloading any of the blocklists.

If you need other lists that aren't listed here let me know and I'll put them up as well.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

how regular? waited 3 weeks to get an updated list. in the meantime, blocked from the tracker, and little over half the lists are available on the RS.com folder. this backup is 10 days old now.
is there a lack of security for p2p, using PW?
DGMW, I like PW, but an updated list would make things right.
BTW, why would we need a 10 day old Backup list, when the NEW lists could be easily stored on RS.de?
Torrent built a Folder but all rarred, tarred, gzzed, and zipped. Rar the folder and take 3 seconds to upload to RS.de.
Anyhow, I need latest torrent..... I mean, new lists that are available only on torrent (which I am blocked, no exceptions).

You'll know when there is an update available when the date has changed. Probably about once a week they will be updated. All the main lists are on rapidshare, what more do you want ?

If you really can't wait, use the BLM and get them the normal way. smile.gif

im using emule and heard about a file containing a list to filter some unreal e2k servers, my friend told me its in this site with this address

http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/nipfilter.dat.gz

but i couldnt download file , my isp uses a word-oriented(its better to name it net-shitter) filtering program and its sensitive to the name of this file, i can browse almost all pages of this site but the only thing in this site i cant have access to it is this file sad.gif
it will be appreciated if some 1 insert a renamed copy of this file somewhere on this site or another site

yes the date has changed, still not as current as the torrent.
I really can't wait, I do use the BLM, getting them the normal way does not work. Sources are not available to download.
Direct download links would be nice, now-a-days, getting a list requires several extra steps.
Resorting to lists from rapidshare folders, download the list, unpack .zip to where ever as a .txt. Open BLM, import lists manually "from file" from where ever. wait 3 minutes (seems longer).
BLM and the normal way?

QUOTE (Kimberly @ Jan 1 2005, 11:44 AM) *
Enable the lists you want to download and hit Apply. Don't forget to repeat this step when you noticed your sources were updated. We don't offer any default lists anymore, so be sure to check out you've got some selected before downloading the blacklists.

the BLM tutorial is dated, btw.

Setting firewall to allow BLM to access the internet would be a good step to add.

Getting lists use to be so easy.

Your ISP's filtering only affects the http protocol though, doesn't it? The reason I ask is that the file you want is included in the torrent linked to in the first post of this thread, & was updated 2 days ago.
