I use PG to block out the nasties, but I have a question I cant figure out.Let's say I Go to Amazon to surf around.PG will most certainly block this web site.I can right click my mouse, and allow this web site for a certain amount of time or permanently. When I allow this to connect, this might not be only block. This can get tiresome because value click is a constant pain. This is not to mention all the other blocks that take place on a site.I sometimes have to unblock 3 to 4 ip addresses to surf the site.

What is the best way to completely allow a site, and if I permanent allow the site,am I protected. It seems when I am downloading, and surfing I run into problems. If I allow a site,PG will disappear for a 15 to 20 seconds, and then pop back, and It makes me wonder if I'm protected during this time.

one way would be to allow HTTP in PG and tell your p2p-app
to ignore peers using port 80 ( you can do that with Azureus )
that way you wont block your surfing but still your p2p .
if you "allow" a IP so you can surf the site you are also allowing it in
your p2p-app ..that could be a potential risk .

If you are using PG to block ads and other nasty stuff you could use
the adblock(+) and/or no-script firefox extensions to
block things when you browse the net.

Me, myself, I just allow Http all the time.. smile.gif I have some AOL ips allowed for tcp and google ips and stuff on tcp perm allowed because I use GAIM, with AIM, GoogleChat and YIM... smile.gif but anyway i use the winston suggestions of adblock and stuff for firefox...and use a huge hosts file... wink.gif
