Full Version: The Shareaza web site has been hijacked
B.I.S.S. Forums > Bluetack Software > HOSTS Section > Host Submissions

The DNS entries for shareaza.com and http://www.shareaza.com have been stolen by the Israeli gang that "bought" BearShare for the RIAA in 2005.

Perhaps we had better block it until the real owners take it back.

Add both sites to the HOSTS file and direct them to 66.35.250.209 for now.

The genuine Shareaza site is http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/

I'm already blocking the whole ISP range for it's relationship with Musiclab, the iMesh/RIAA front which forced Free Peers out of BearShare and replaced the program with their own.

Bogus shareaza.com:207.232.22.55-207.232.22.55
Musiclab, Elron Technologies, Israel:207.232.0.0-207.232.63.255

P.S: Beware the software hosted on the bogus site.
It appears to be the same spyware-laden crap they replaced BearShare with.

That range has been blocked since Tuesday, July 19, 2005 - 04:39 PM in the level1 list.

Just letting ya know.
