Hi guys,

I hope you can help, im a pretty non technical guy so please forgive me if this sounds a little dumb! I have peer guardian and protowall, both are WICKED, thanks for your hours of development on them ;-) I was wondering if the people at Bay TSP scan my machine and im NOT using a P2P program can they still tell if i have copywrited material on my hard drive or do i have to be connected to emule/kazaa etc for them to flag me up? I.E in the process of sharing files

The reason i ask is that some sites dont like PW and i cant access them so i was thinking if i shut down my P2P whilst on these sites and turn of PG and PW will the powers at be still know i have copywrited material?

I hope that makes sense?

Hi Danhunter

As well as using Protowall / Peerguardian to block IPs , you should be using a firewall to protect your PC from being accessed, then no one can snoop on your pc , whether its baytsp or a hacker without a bit of effort.

To answer your question , no I dont think baytsp can find suspected copyrighted files on your pc while you arent using a p2p prog [ if you have a decent firewall , running ] , otherwise without a firewall , then yes , they probably have full access to your pc , or at least theres nothing really to stop them from accessing your files.

There have been cases of various spiders busting people with files that have been found on their computers , some of them were found just to have the same file names , not sure if they had firewall protection..
