Well first hello since I am new here,
I'm not sure if this has been disscussed yet or not it was first reported on intuit's turbo tax last year. well i found this neat little spyware slash fink program on the new 3Ds max 6 program. and according to the sites that has dicussed this this little program does a few things one it hides from the consumer in the back ground I.E Transparent, 2 it cripples your cd rom bruner from copying so called protected content and from reading certian files from a burner cd , 3rd blocks file downloads and searches of files and or corupt's the file downloads and last but not least 4 it reports back attempted burns and downloads back to the parent company and to the makers of safdisk and other protection companies and what ever info thay want!!!.
the Reason i posted this here is that none of the security measures i am using caught this but a registery program that monitors changes in the system caught this. i currently use protowall and sysgate pro to stop unwanted traffic and this little proggy blew past both!. Cidillacdac11ba. exe and cidillacdac11ba.sys both reside in your system32/drivers section of windows and the can be viewed in your system componet tools under services . i have sinced removed both files and found that 3Dsmax6 no longer works it is tied into there license management system.
I would like some feed back on your alls thought's and suggestions on work arounds. but it looks like alot of companies are slowly going to this new type of license system ?.

How'd you find it? SpySweeper?
I found it that it is created everytime you run Autocad 2K4 but the app still works if you strip it... wink.gif

Reg run Watchdog is what caught it for me 3dsmax6 will not run without it to my dismay lol.
